As we count down the weeks until Logic Festival 3, the excitement and anticipation is building not only at Logic HQ, it is also building with the artists and dance music fans alike. The info line has been ringing off the hook and the website’s email account is awash with requests for more information on the headline artists. So to satiate the the desires of the South Wales dance music fans, we have spoken to the main players and this is what they have to say about appearing at Logic Festival 3.

By far the most famous DJ on the line up is the internationally renowned Judge Jules, The man who has been rocking crowds the world over for many years including Welsh audiences at venues like Escape Swansea and at Escape Into The Park in Swansea where he was a regular player for many years. He is also famed for his Radio One dance show residency where for over a decade he broadcast to millions of people. We asked Judge Jules about Logic Festival 3 and this is what he said:

“I’ve been playing in Wales for as long as I can remember and it’s always a pleasure to be invited back each year. Escape In The Park was an iconic event and a highlight of the clubbing calendar, and when it as cancelled there was certainly something missing from the dance scene in Wales; when I heard Danny and the team had started Logic it was definitely an event I’ve been looking forward to playing. It’ll be great to be playing with old friends and I’ve pulled a few surprises from the record box to ensure that my set is one to remember.”

Headlining the The Logic Hard vs. Logic Hardcore Arena is Hardcore Superleague DJ Darren Styles and welsh Legends Cally and Juice. All of whom are leaders in their musical fields of expertise and all have a solid reputation of rocking a crowd at every gig they play. They have played at some of the biggest dance events in the world and when asked to comment the extremely busy Darren Styles said: “Stoked to be playing Logic festival!”  The welsh duo Cally and Juice went on to say the following:

“Playing a festival on our home turf has always been a magical experience for us, and the reception we’ve always had from our home crowd has rivalled any other crowd we’ve played to anywhere in the world. So we’re really excited to play for Logic Festival in Swansea this September. To top it off it’s going to be part of our 20th Anniversary Tour, so we promise to bring a very special and memorable set for the occasion!”

Headlining the Logic New Town Arena is one of the UK’s hardest working female DJ/ producers Official Nancie. Since a young age, Official Nancie’s world has revolved around music. Growing up in a musical family inspired her to pursue her dream of becoming a DJ. From being a BritYouth pupil at the age of 11, to spreading her wings and finding her voice as a recording artiste at Rich Bitch studios, the now 21-year old talent, is climbing the ladder whilst carving a name for herself as a respected female DJ along the way. When asked about her headline slot at Logic Festival 3, Official Nancie said:

I can’t tell you how excited about playing Logic Festival 3 on 8th September..  I love playing in South Wales, the people are some of the best in the UK who always make me feel so welcome but more importantly they are always up for a party and as parties go Logic Festival looks incredible.  I have a load of new music that will be available in the next few weeks but will be preparing some really special edits just for this event so get ready Swansea, I’m coming for you XX”

With just over 9 weeks to go until Logic Festival 3 and final tier tickets selling fast we advise early purchase to guarantee your attendance to Wales’s number one dance music festival. As you can see the headline artists are all looking forward to entertaining the crowds in the different arenas as are all of the other artists on the bill. Event Organiser Jason Pufal commented “I am overwhelmed by the amount of positivity shown by the headliners and in fact all of the artists on the bill. This year is going to be very special.”

With the continuing heat wave in full flourish in Wales and a summer of good weather predicted, the organisers of Logic Festival 3 have teamed up with The Dillwyn Arms Hotel, Herbert St, Pontardawe SA8 4EB for a two day take over to coincide with with the now legendary Pontardawe Festival where they will host the venue’s beer garden and will be in residence on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of August. And as another nod to Logic Festival 3, the opening hours for the event will mirror the festival opening times and will be running from 11am - 11pm and will feature the same music policy as the Festival main arena which is Classic Trance anthems all day and night long! Also playing on the bill and supporting N-Trance will be the Logic team of resident DJs: Rob Rees, Jason Pufal, Danny Slade, Trixta, Chris Miller, Jay Pufal, Rob EJ + special guests TBA, There will also be an after show party at The Rainbow Rooms, Gorseinon till 4am.

For those that are unfamiliar with N-Trance’s achievements here is some information about them: With international number 1 hits in Australia, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand, the biggest selling dance record of 1995 under their belts and over 6 million record sales worldwide and striking number one on the dance charts almost everywhere.  It’s no surprise that double platinum selling band N-Trance still reign supreme on the dancefloor whenever the thunder rolls… The iconic anthem ‘Set You Free’ has been setting dance floors on fire since 1992, even more so today than it ever did, evidenced by N-Trance’s ever busy tour schedule.

DJ Junior K kick started his illustrious career, joining legendary dance group N-Trance in the late 90’s, as their official member and tour DJ. After years on the road, working on and helping to promote a string of their top ten hits, including club staple ‘Set you Free’ and ‘Forever’ (also featuring in N-Trance videos Forever and Destiny) Junior K masterminded a string of memorable club hits. Having produced and remixed for artists including Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, The Saturdays, Danni Minogue, Free Loaders and Masters at Work to name a few. Junior K knows a thing or two about executing a seamless mix and reading a dance floor.

With tickets flying out and everything being on track for an epic day out at Logic Festival 3 on Saturday September 8th, Ynysforgan Farm, Swansea, Logic are also busy promoting two festival pre parties that they are holding this summer. The first one is on Saturday August 4th at is at The Rainbow Rooms, 12 High street, Gorseinon, Swansea SA4 4BX and the second one on the weekend of August 18th and 19th at the now legendary Pontardawe Festival and is to be held at The Dillwyn Arms Hotel, Herbert St, Pontardawe SA8 4EB.

For the first event on August 4th at The Rainbow Rooms, headlining the bill is DJ/ vocalist Sonique who was the headline act in the main arena at 2017’s Logic Festival 2 which was a great success with close to 1000 people in attendance throughout the day. She makes a welcome reappearance to Swansea, A city where she used to regularly play at the legendary Escape superclub and also appeared at the Escape Into The Park festival playing to an audience of 25,000 people.

Sonique has had a long history of singing and first shot to fame in the house music outfit S’ Express in the early 90’s, After going solo and releasing a number of hits she perhaps reached the pinnacle of her career when she won a prestigious Brit Award for Best Female Solo Artist in 2001, beating off stiff competition from Dido, Sade, Jamelia and PJ Harvey. She topped the album charts in the UK for three consecutive weeks with her 2000 release Hear My Cry and also made it into the Top Ten of the Billboard charts in America.

This Logic Festival 3 pre party appearance at The Rainbow Rooms will be Sonique’s only gig in Wales this year as she is busy Djing all over the world and recording new material with the likes of the Trance and Techno legend Mauro Picotto. The event itself has had the phones ringing off the hook at The Rainbow Rooms HQ and is expected to be a well attended event so early arrival is advised. The music policy is Trance Anthems which is a nod to the fact that Logic Festival 3’s main arena features the same music policy.

The licence has been granted, The line up has been confirmed and announced and everything is on track for Logic Festival 3 to be the the best dance festival that Wales has to offer in 2018. Logic Festival has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a small event held at the end of Summer 2016 with a capacity of just 499 to the behemoth that it has become in 2018 with a capacity of of just under 5000, Five arenas and over 70 artistes performing live on the day.

It all started as the brainchild of Swansea based DJ/ Promoter Jason P, the owner of the Rainbow Rooms nightclub in Gorseinon and a long time veteran of the Swansea dance scene who has been DJing and putting on events for nearly 2 decades, who wanted to bring a dance festival back to Swansea after the sad demise of Escape Into The Park in 2011. When asked about the dance scene in Wales he said the following:

“As someone who has lived and breathed dance music and has played at many a great and well attended dance event, I have always believed that if I put on a celebration of all that is good about the dance scene in Wales with the right mix of big name artists and local talent, in the right setting, people will make the effort to come along and join in the revelry. The City has such a strong history of successful dance events that it would be a shame not to give the people of Swansea and indeed the whole of Wales an event that they can truly call their own again.”

In picking the line up for the 5 different arenas, the team thought long and hard about what people wanted to hear at a dance festival and also the genres of music that should be represented. There are 5 arenas that feature music that has been proven to have a strong fan base in Wales and they have hand picked the headliners for each arena as they are ether leaders of their field, have a proven track record or are unsung heroes who have championed a sound and made it their own.

The arenas are as follows: Logic & Delusion (Trance), Logic Hardcore & Logic Extra Hard (Hardcore and Hard Dance), Logic presents New Town (House), 100% Old Skool (Club Classics) and The Evolution Experience Alternative Arena (Multi Genre Arena). There is also a fully licenced bar and catering concessions and the event is held at Ynysforgan Farm near Morriston Swansea with direct access to the M4 corridor and the Swansea Valley and is a short drive from Swansea City Centre. It is a rural location with plenty of free onsite parking in the adjacent field to the event field.

Gates open 11am until 11 pm and for those who like to party the day and night away there is an aftershow party at The Rainbow Rooms, 12 High Street Gorseinon, Swansea, SA4 4BX. For information on the event, tickets and pricing please call 07763 000382 or email info@logicfestival.wales.
